A CYCLIST sustained head injuries after coliding with a car in a rush-hour crash.

The woman, believed to be in her forties, was cycling near Blackhorse Road Tube station at about 8.24am yesterday when she was struck.

A fast-response team, ambulance and a medical team with a doctor attended and took the woman to Royal London Hospital where she is being treated. The driver of the car was not treated for injuries.

An area of road near the junction of Blackhorse Road and Forest Road was closed temporarily by police while the crash scene was cleared, causing tailbacks for drivers.
