EPPING: Mayor launches card competition

MAYOR of Epping Ben Murphy is inviting creative youngsters in the town to enter his Christmas card competition.

The first prize entry to the competition will be professionally printed and used as the mayor’s official Christmas card with the winning child receiving a framed copy of the card and certificate.

Two runners-up will receive certificates of achievement.

Any child aged four to 11 who lives or goes to school in Epping is eligible for the competition.

Entries should be submitted on an A5 piece of paper with the full name, address, school and age of the entrant on the reverse to: The Mayor's Office, Epping Hall, St. John's Road, Epping, Essex, CM16 5JU. Closing date is 12pm on Friday, November 21.

This will keep the kids busy and off the streets preventing vandalism, knifings,anti-social behaviour,drunkeness and the like for sure.

As the youths will all be excitingly scribbling away this evening and the streets are safe, I think I will treat Mrs Small to a well deserved meal out and a glass of sherry.

Vote Mr Murphy for Mayor of London!
