A DISTRAUGHT family is appealing for help after their six-year-old cat went missing.
The feline, named 'Kitten', is described as a small neutered male tabby with a pink nose.
He disappeared in the hot weather from the family's home on Canfield Road in Woodford Bridge on Thursday July 21.
There was a reported sighting near Forest School in Chingford last month. The family rushed to the scene but even though the cat they found was missing, it was not their beloved Kitten.
Heather Hutchings, who owns the cat, said: "We think he may be exploring the nearby fields or riverbank.
"We have searched and called there to no avail - although neighbours opposite are sure they've seen him.
"His friend, a ginger tom, pops in through the cat flap to look for him most days too.
"We just want him back."
Anyone who thinks they may have seen Kitten should call the Hutchings family on 8504 7064.
