THE Olympic torch hand over was greeted with a colourful festival at Redbridge's brand new cycle centre yesterday (Sunday).
Thousands of visitors were treated to an innovative display of sporting skill and colourful costumes during the Inspir8tion event - which featured a demonstration by world champion cyclist Craig Maclean.
Another highlight of the festival was the Air Carnival which was led by teams of masqueraders and cyclists from schools, and youth groups across the borough.
The procession’s glittering finale featured a giant fiery Phoenix and two enormous Kestrel puppets, followed by a firework display
