WALTHAMSTOW: Arrested teenagers released for now

THE two teenagers questioned in connection with the murder of Charles Junior Hendricks in Walthamstow have been released from custody.
The 19-year-old and 17-year-old who were arrested near the scene have been bailed to return to two separate east London police stations in September.
The 17-year-old was treated in hospital for a slash wound to the arm.
The pair were taken into custody shortly after the murder, which took place near the Walthamstow Central bus station in Selbourne Road at about 01.40am on Sunday, August 24.
Officers on a routine patrol noticed two or three men running away from the area and arrived at the scene to find Mr Hendricks, 18, of Wallwood Road, Leytonstone, bleeding on the ground.
He was taken by ambulance to Whipps Cross University Hospital, in Leytonstone, but died shortly after arrival.
A post-mortem was held yesterday morning at Walthamstow Mortuary, which gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector John Sandlin, who is leading the murder investigation, said:"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the murder to please contact police with any information you may have.
"The incident happened close to a well lit bus garage.
Did you see several males in the grass area near to the bus garage close to Selbourne Walk Shopping Centre?
"Did you see anyone run from the scene? At this early stage we must retain an open mind about the motive."
