ORIENT boss Martin Ling will be keeping his fingers crossed this morning for some positive news on injured duo Wayne Gray and Danny Granville.

The pair, who both limped off during the first half of the goalless draw with Carlsile on Saturday underwent scans on their respective knee and groin injuries yesterday.

And Ling said: “Wayne's knee is badly swollen at the moment, and the only real consolation we have is that it is hurting him on the outside this time rather than than the inside which he injured at the end of last season.

“At the moment we are not sure how bad the damage is until we get the scan results back, although I'm optimistic that it isn't as serious as before.

“We are also looking to get to the bottom of why Danny's groin has been giving him trouble for the last three games.

“He has been trying to play through the problem, but we feel like Tam (Mkandawire) it is best that he takes time out now to try to get to the bottom of it as it will only get worse.

“Hopefully again it isn't anything too serious and we will have Danny back feeling 100 per cent very soon.”
